standing very still

I was trapped in the lobby with a cockroach, the flying one, the vicious kind. The elevator was on the twenty first floor, come on. What should I do? standing still? humming? yelling? fighting back?

I stood still in the corner for good 5 minutes praying the cockroach will leave me alone. The elevator came to my rescue at last.

When it comes to inner fear...sense of restlessness, uncertainty, I did the same... standing still, standing very still praying it will leave me alone. the problem of this strategy is until you can overcome your fear, it will keep haunting you from time to time.
